Scenic Eclipse: What if...

Beyond what you can imagine: luxury and discovery on board the Scenic Eclipse

... you could go on a trip where you discovered new horizons and changing scenes whilst at the same time enjoying the highest level of luxurious comfort? Where you could enjoy unique experiences and unparalleled pleasure on, under and over the water? Where size is manifested not in its pompous appearance but in stylish class, its intimate boutique atmosphere and the diverse gourmet food? Then, I’m here to tell you that this seemingly utopian aspiration does not have to remain a dream: come with me on a tour of discovery on board the Scenic Eclipse – a yacht that combines expedition and luxury like no other.

168 metres long, 21.5 metres and sophisticated in its design, the exclusive external appearance of the Scenic Eclipse, which continues consistently throughout the inside, is impressive. Elegant communal areas and suites to accommodate 228 passengers are spread across eight decks. This puts the yacht in a different league: it can head to destinations that remain out of bounds for large cruise liners, and yet it is large enough to offer every conceivable comfort on board. There are, for example, ten different dining options, ranging from the Café Bar to Asian, Mediterranean and French cuisine, served with the appropriate wine accompaniment, of course, as all drinks on board are included. One highlight: in the Culinary Masterclass, you can learn from the professional chefs – where you’ll also use the fresh herbs cultivated in the Épicure cooking school. Also worth mentioning is the large lounge, where you can admire nature from the comfort of an armchair. And the grand entrance to the spa gives you an inkling of how indulging in a pampering treatment here is absolutely the right decision to make.

Enjoy a first-class dinner, fall asleep in a wonderfully comfortable bed, breathe in the sea breeze on your private veranda – each cabin has its own –, relax in the jacuzzi and then enjoy a drink on a lounger on the sun deck: life could hardly get any better. And as the world’s first discovery yacht, the Scenic Eclipse flies the flag for adventure: for all its luxury, the ship is also an expedition ship, designed for exploration along a variety of routes away from the tourist hot spots. From Portugal to Norway, for example, with stopovers in small ports in the Netherlands, Belgium, England and France. Plus cruises in international waters – with destinations in Greenland, the USA, Latin America and Japan. Because the yacht is especially manoeuvrable due to the latest Azipod technology and particularly robust due to its design with the highest ice class, it also cuts a fine – and safer – figure in the middle of the glaciers of Antarctica and in the Arctic Ocean – with a high chance of seeing penguins or polar bears in the wild...

Expeditions are what the Scenic Eclipse promises – and this makes unique experiences possible at every level: excursions on land take you to the most exciting places and secluded spots only insiders know about. You would still expect kayaks, seabobs and other water toys on a luxury yacht, but not this: fly up high in the air in a helicopter – up to two are permanent fixtures on board – and get a bird’s-eye view of the impressive wonders of nature. An excursion on board the yacht’s own submarine is also incomparable. The high-tech vehicle is large enough to hold up to six people and can dive down to a depth of 300 metres to explore the beauty of the underwater world. Back on board the yacht, you’ll be spoilt by the attentive service of the crew and your own butler. The fact that all services are all-inclusive on the Scenic Eclipse is something that also comes as standard on this luxury liner; the helicopter and submarine excursions are almost the only exceptions to this. You are well looked after. What if... you planned your unforgettable voyage of discovery on the Scenic Eclipse now?
